I work on information quality in digital environments, with a focus on AI systems, search engines, and online platforms. I work across research, product, and policy, using empirical research to understand information systems and inform how they are designed and governed. I also build programs and networks that connect researchers with people working on these questions in industry and policy.
I am currently the Information Quality Lead on the Trust team at Google and a Schuster Media & Technology Fellow at Harvard’s Shorenstein Center for the 2026–27 academic year. Previously, I was the founding Executive Director of NYU’s Center for Social Media, AI, and Politics.
My research uses experimental and computational methods and has been published in leading general-science and disciplinary journals, including Nature, PNAS Nexus, and Big Data & Society. I also write about technology and policy for broader audiences.
I am completing a PhD in Communication Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. I hold an MA in Political Science from New York University and a BA in Political Science from Brown University.
